With this question Agreenet was born.

Vision

Making the agri-food system more efficient, fair and resilient by reducing food waste and revaluing agricultural resources.

Fighting food waste and improving food safety through the use of active biopolymers for the protection and packaging of fresh foods.

Promote practices that respect the environment and food resources. Reduce the use of petroleum-based plastics in the food packaging sector. Cooperate with different actors for a more resilient and prosperous supply chain.

Beginning

Agreenet was born in 2021 with the aim of creating innovative solutions and biomaterials for the protection of fresh foods, mainly fruit and vegetables, in an efficient, economical and simple way.

We want to give fresh food distribution companies the opportunity to store, transport and market fresh and good products for longer.

I primi prototipi sono stati incoraggianti e ci hanno spinti a ottimizzare il nostro primo prodotto. Dopo anni di R&D (e di tanti tentativi e errori), abbiamo creato PìFresc®, the freshness-saving tag for fresh fruit and vegetables. Ancora prima della sua nascita, PìFresc® ha susictato l’interesse di aziende, Italiane e non, e che ci ha portati ad iniziare diverse collaborazioni e progetti pilota.

Next steps

We want to become a point of reference in the active packaging sector for fresh foods. In fact, our R&D team is always looking for new solutions and innovations in the field following consumer, regulatory and production trends.

Our team

We are a multidisciplinary and diverse team, united by our pioneering spirit: together, we work every day on a new generation of materials for the protection and preservation of fresh food, plastic-free, biobased and biodegradable.

Gustavo has a PhD and a MSc in Materials Science, with a solid experience in the development of innovative and functional polymers.

He has more than 8 years of practical experience, contributing various inventions and patents for different companies.

Sara has a Master's Degree in sustainable crop management and has experience as a research assistant at several companies.

He has worked on the development of innovative technological solutions for agriculture.

R&D Specialist

Stefano has a Master's Degree in Management Engineering with a specialization in Innovation Management.

He is active in the startup ecosystem with a strong interest in sustainability and finance.

CMO/CFO

Roberta is a graphics expert and has a degree in Communication Sciences. She is passionate about photography and has skills in communication and social media management.
At Agreenet, she is responsible for defining and executing the communication strategy.

Roberta Di Fiore

Design & Communication

Claudia is a PhD candidate in Biotechnology and has a Master's Degree in Agri-food Biotechnology. Her research is focused on synthetic biology, with applications in the nutraceutical, environmental and pharmaceutical fields.
